How to Use

1. Set the desired password length with the slider or input field.
2. Select which character types to include (uppercase, lowercase, digits, special).

Tips

• A minimum of 12 characters with all 4 character types is the current recommendation.
• Use a different password for every service and pair this with a password manager like 1Password or Bitwarden.
• Some sites disallow certain special characters. If you hit an error during sign-up, try adjusting the special character options.

FAQ

Is the generated password stored anywhere?

No. Passwords are generated entirely in your browser and never sent to any server. They disappear when you close the page.

How is password strength determined?

It is based on length, character type diversity, and entropy (randomness). Longer passwords with more character types score higher.

Can I create a strong password without special characters?

Yes, but at the same length a password with special characters has more possible combinations. If you skip special characters, increase the length to 16 or more to compensate.
