Overview

Converts text to spoken audio. It works without any installation using the browser Web Speech API, and you can adjust voice type, reading speed, and pitch. Useful for English pronunciation checks, document listening, and accessibility testing.

Key Features

  • Text-to-speech (TTS) conversion
  • Voice selection (browser / OS provided voices)
  • Reading speed (rate) control
  • Pitch adjustment
  • Play / pause / stop controls

How to Use

  1. Type or paste text into the input field.
  2. Set the desired voice, speed, and pitch.
  3. Press Play and the text is read aloud.

Tips

  • Available voices depend on your OS and browser. Chrome generally offers the most voices.
  • For pronunciation checks, setting the speed to 0.5-0.75 makes it easier to hear clearly.
  • For long texts, break them into paragraphs for smoother playback.

FAQ

Is Korean voice supported?
If your OS has a Korean TTS voice installed, it will be available. Most Windows, macOS, and Android devices include a default Korean voice.
Can I save the speech as a file?
The Web Speech API does not support saving audio files. If you need a recording, use a separate audio capture tool alongside.
Does it work offline?
It works offline when using OS built-in voices. Cloud-based voices (some high-quality Chrome voices) may require an internet connection.
